This book has that classic Patricia Polacco feel: family-centered, a little nostalgic, and full of everyday wonder. It’s longer, so we usually save it for a quieter read-aloud time, but my boys love this one. A great summer story, especially if your kids love family gatherings or chasing lightning bugs.
